Grow a self-sufficient green cocktail bar in your own garden with various sorts of Mentha.

Harvest fresh ingredients again and again during the summertime whether it is going for a hot summer or a very cold one. And then, when in Denmark one can never be sure of todays weather.
Let the plants do the hard work. And remember that the greenery will grow even more if cut down on a regular basis. This could actually be an encouragement to remember the smaller everyday gardening.

Hot Mojito:
A big handful of fresh leaves from your Mentha plant
Boiling water
Leave for 3-5 minutes and let it pull some flavour. Remove the leaves. Then add:
Dark rum
Sugar or syrup
A dash of grated lemon peel or lemon juice

Cold Mojito:
A big handful of fresh leaves from your Mentha plant
White rum
Sugar or syrup
Lime slices
Sparkling water
Give all the ingredients a good beating in the glass or in a bigger jug to release the oil from the Mentha and the juice from the lime.
